Deck overview

Chief of the Wilds turns a Wolf-token engine into a trigger-doubling value engine: every enter, upkeep, or combat trigger from another Wolf or battle fires twice. The deck's central plan is to flood with 2/2 Wolf and changeling tokens, accelerate them with +1/+1 counters and Beastmaster Ascension, then kill through combat. Secondary paths include tutor/search battles (Invasion of Ikoria) and an unblockable Zilortha to bypass blockers. Jaheira can act as a hidden mana engine from the 99, but the deck is squarely built around Chief. The main practical concern is the mono-Forest manabase: black mana is restricted to Torgal and Springleaf Parade tokens.
