Format: Commander

Commander: Tasha, the Witch Queen

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Dimir deck, helmed by Tasha, the Witch Queen, is a dedicated theft strategy built around casting spells you don't own. It uses an overwhelming density of cards that exile opponents' libraries, graveyards, and hands, giving you access to their instants, sorceries, creatures, and artifacts. The primary win condition is to leverage opponents' own cards against them, often generating massive tempo and card advantage. Secondary win conditions include utilizing extra turns from Ichormoon Gauntlet in conjunction with a planeswalker suite, and overwhelming the board with stolen permanents. The deck plays a slow, value-oriented game, relying on its commander's +1 to draw and exile graveyard spells, and the -3 to cast them for free. Without fast mana or a compact combo, it seeks to outvalue opponents over the long game.
