Deck overview

This deck is a competitive Sultai graveyard combo deck centered on executing a fast, protected Protean Hulk line. The deck accelerates through early mana dorks and fast mana artifacts, using premier tutors like Entomb, Buried Alive, and Demonic Tutor to set up the graveyard by Turn 3. On Turn 4, it reanimates Protean Hulk with Reanimate or Dread Return, immediately sacrificing it to deploy a winning package of Warren Soultrader, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Gravecrawler. Because Warren Soultrader is a Zombie, you can sacrifice Gravecrawler to create a Treasure token and immediately recast it from the graveyard, draining each opponent for 40 life with Zulaport Cutthroat triggers in a single turn. Commander Teval, the Balanced Scale provides additional card advantage, ramp, and board presence, but the primary combo functions with zero delay without the commander. Backed by free countermagic and proactive shielding from Veil of Summer and Sylvan Safekeeper, the deck delivers a rapid, resilient win condition.
