Deck overview

This mono-black deck is helmed by Syr Konrad, the Grim, combining aristocrats attrition, group mill, and compact infinite combos. The game plan focuses on deploying early mana ramp and recurring creature fodder such as Gravecrawler and Reassembling Skeleton alongside sacrifice engines like Warren Soultrader, Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, and Phyrexian Altar. Once Syr Konrad or redundant drain outlets like Blood Artist and Zulaport Cutthroat enter the battlefield, every creature death and mill event translates into lethal table-wide life loss. The deck can close games through deterministic infinite combos like Bloodchief Ascension plus Mindcrank or Gravecrawler plus Phyrexian Altar, as well as explosive mass-mill lines using Mesmeric Orb and Basalt Monolith or Living Death. It maintains excellent resilience through dense graveyard recursion and board-control tools like Grave Pact.
