Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul artifact-midrange strategy centered on Aerid Konstrari. The commander produces Heartwood tokens upon entering and dying, providing mana acceleration and fueling abilities that scale with artifact count. The deck ramps during the opening turns with medallions, mana rocks, and land drops, casting Aerid on Turn 4 to establish a steady mana and token baseline. In the mid-game, it converts artifact volume into pressure via token doublers, burn triggers like Reckless Fireweaver, or massive combat pumps from Craterclaw Colossus and Aerid itself. Because the deck operates with minimal instant-speed interaction and protective spells, it relies on high permanent density and redundant beaters to overwhelm opponents by Turn 8. Board wipes set the strategy back, though death triggers and robust land counts provide steady recovery.
