Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari Wolf kindred aggro-midrange strategy led by Chief of the Wilds. The commander acts as both a rapidly growing combat threat and an ability amplifier, placing two +1/+1 counters on itself whenever another Wolf enters and doubling all triggered abilities from other Wolves and battles. The deck accelerates in the opening turns with efficient mana dorks and rocks, deploys Chief of the Wilds by Turn 3 or 4, and rapidly develops a board of synergistic Wolf creatures and token generators. Mid-game card draw engines like Tribute to the World Tree and Garruk's Uprising sustain resource flow while tribal anthems like Beastmaster Ascension, Banner of Kinship, and Hollowhenge Overlord scale total power. Around Turn 6, the deck presents a lethal threat, using evasion, trample, or Triumph of the Hordes to eliminate opponents across two decisive attack phases. Broad permanent interaction and selective protection spells support this aggressive plan.
