Kaalia, Mother of Dragons by user6596531

Format: Commander

Commander: Kaalia of the Vast

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Mardu combat-aggro deck helmed by Kaalia of the Vast, designed to cheat massive Dragons into play and overwhelm opponents with flying, trample, and extra combat steps. The primary game plan involves ramping into Kaalia, using her attack trigger to deploy a high-impact Dragon directly onto the battlefield attacking, then leveraging mana-generation creatures like Ancient Copper Dragon and Goldspan Dragon to fuel repeated activations of Hellkite Charger for infinite combats. The deck also packs a robust reanimation package (Animate Dead, Reanimate, Patriarch's Bidding) as a backup plan, and a dense suite of protection and stack interaction to protect its key pieces. The commander is the lynchpin of the strategy, but the deck can still function through recursion and hard-casting Dragons if necessary.
