Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug, Wicked Worm

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a treasure-tempo/artifact-count deck built around Smaug, Wicked Worm's ETB Treasure burst and Treasure-mana draw. The primary plan is to multiply token bursts with Xorn and Academy Manufactor, then use Magda, Brazen Outlaw as a hidden commander to tutor Hellkite Tyrant and win on the next upkeep. Secondary paths use Smaug the Magnificent, Reckless Fireweaver, Mirkwood Bats, and Disciple of the Vault to burn opponents while the artifact count grows. The commander provides card advantage and a large early artifact swing; if it is never cast, Magda and the rest of the treasure engines can still assemble the artifact-count or burn win, just more slowly.
