Deck overview

This deck is a high-speed Boros Equipment and Voltron strategy led by Lightning, Army of One. Lightning provides a formidable aggressive core featuring first strike, trample, lifelink, and the Stagger mechanic. Stagger triggers during the first strike damage step to double all subsequent damage dealt to the defending player, causing regular combat damage, double strike hits, and damage-doubling effects to escalate exponentially. The deck utilizes an extensive tutor package to reliably fetch key Equipment such as Commander's Plate, Sword of Feast and Famine, and Lizard Blades, while enablers like Sigarda's Aid, Puresteel Paladin, and Forge Anew bypass equip costs. A robust protection suite featuring Teferi's Protection, Deflecting Swat, and Grand Abolisher safeguards combat steps against opposing interaction. The primary game plan eliminates opponents in rapid sequence through lethal commander damage by Turn 6, backed by a compact infinite combat loop with Aggravated Assault and Sword of Feast and Famine.
