Fist of Fury - [Iwamora of the Open Fist] by user4529171

Format: Commander

Commander: Iwamori of the Open Fist

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Iwamori of the Open Fist is a voltron-fight commander deck. It uses mana dorks and land-ramp to cast the 5/5 trample on turn 3 or 4, then piles pump auras, equipment, and instant-speed fight spells onto him to clear blockers and reach 21 commander damage. The primary win is a two- or three-hit commander kill against each opponent; the backup is a slower 'big green beaters' plan using Rampaging Hippo and other large creatures. The deck has no tutoring or engine, so it depends on drawing a sequence of cheap pump and protection pieces to stay on schedule. There is no hidden commander beyond the open-fist body of Iwamori.
