Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Grixis spellslinger strategy helmed by Fire Lord Azula. Azula uniquely bridges combat and spellcasting by generating two red mana on attack and copying any spell cast while she is attacking. The deck leverages this ability to turn inexpensive instant-speed cantrips, pump spells, and burn into doubled value engines. Redundant cost reducers like Goblin Electromancer and Stormcatch Mentor accelerate Azula onto the board by Turn 3 or 4. Once attacking, Azula triggers explosive magecraft chains alongside payoffs like Storm-Kiln Artist, Archmage Emeritus, and Guttersnipe. The deck can eliminate single players rapidly through multiplied commander damage via Unleash Fury and Bulk Up, or burn the entire table simultaneously through copied spells and a finisher like Comet Storm. Backed by solid interaction and independent engines such as Thousand-Year Storm, the deck maintains consistent pressure.
