Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Orzhov Aristocrats strategy led by Amalia Benavides Aguirre. The game plan revolves around casting low-mana lifegain creatures like Soul Warden and Auriok Champion to trigger Amalia's explore ability repeatedly. Exploring provides card selection by drawing revealed lands directly to hand and filtering nonland creatures straight into the graveyard. The deck uses asymmetric hatebears like Drannith Magistrate and Authority of the Consuls to slow down opponents while assembling sacrifice outlets and drain payoffs such as Blood Artist, Cruel Celebrant, and Warren Soultrader. Once the graveyard is stocked, spells like Raise the Past, Return to the Ranks, and Rally the Ancestors return an entire army of low-mana creatures to the battlefield at once. This triggers a massive wave of life loss and lifegain that overwhelms the table, protected during critical turns by silence effects like Grand Abolisher and Ranger-Captain of Eos.
