Deck overview

This Orzhov deck is a life-as-resource control deck that wins by looping life payment into life gain and drain. The primary plan uses Bolas's Citadel with Sensei's Divining Top and Aetherflux Reservoir, with Tainted Sigil to refund life lost in a turn and convert storm into 50 damage. A second line uses Necropotence, Blood Celebrant, Children of Korlis and Toxic Deluge to generate massive life loss and gain, then drains with Vizkopa Guildmage, Sanguine Bond, Vito or Enduring Tenacity. Verrak, Warped Sengir doubles any life-pay activation for value but is not required for either combo. Bolas's Citadel and Necropotence act as hidden commanders that actually drive the engine.
