Deck overview

Vren, the Relentless is a Dimir rat-tribal deck that floods the board with Rat tokens from Vren's exile trigger and from Pack Rat/Rat Colony-style swarm pieces, then finishes with anthem effects. Vren is a repeatable token engine and incidental graveyard hate, while Karumonix, the Rat King acts as a hidden commander, tutoring Rats and granting toxic 1 to the swarm. A secondary poison line uses Ichor Rats, Prologue to Phyresis, and Aspirant's Ascent to pressure through poison counters. Threshold and surveil cards smooth draws and turn on unblockable and recursive creatures, while copy spells multiply key Rats and a counterspell/removal suite protects the plan.
