Deck overview

This deck is an Esper big-mana control deck centered on Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign. Its core strategy revolves around setting up the top of the library with odd-mana-value bombs—such as Void Winnower, Jin-Gitaxias, Progress Tyrant, Toxrill, the Corrosive, and Breach the Multiverse—and cheating them into play via Yennett's attack trigger. The deck utilizes blue cantrips and artifacts like Sensei's Divining Top and Brainstorm to manipulate topdeck ordering, while leveraging Esper staples like Rhystic Study and Esper Sentinel for hand maintenance. Because Yennett lacks built-in haste and the deck contains limited low-cost ramp, ordinary execution reaches an operational attack trigger on Turn 6. From that critical onset, the deck uses asymmetric locks and combat damage from massive creatures to close the game out over three turn rotations, culminating around Turn 9.
