Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Rakdos Big Mana Dragon Stompy deck helmed by Ozai, the Phoenix King. Ozai acts as both an aggressive combat threat and an exponential mana battery. Because Ozai prevents unspent mana from emptying—converting it into permanent red mana across steps, phases, and turns—each attack with firebending 4 stockpiles substantial resources. Once six mana is banked, Ozai gains flying and indestructible, creating a resilient, evasive powerhouse. The deck leverages this surplus mana to accelerate massive Dragon bombs such as Terror of the Peaks, Utvara Hellkite, Drakuseth, Maw of Flames, and Avatar Roku, Firebender. These threats rapidly overwhelm opponents with direct damage and swarming tokens. In addition to combat pressure, banked mana can be funneled into game-ending finishers like Torment of Hailfire or chained combat steps with Hellkite Charger. Robust redirect spells and protective equipment safeguard the engine as it closes the game.
