Deck overview

This deck is a straightforward Giada, Font of Hope Angel tribal strategy. It uses Giada, Font of Hope, Sol Ring, mana rocks, Starnheim Aspirant, and Herald of War to make expensive Angels easier to cast. The main payoff is a growing flying board supported by Lyra Dawnbringer, Righteous Valkyrie, Angelic Field Marshal, and Sephara, Sky's Blade. Lifegain also enables Speaker of the Heavens, Exemplar of Light, and the large-power condition on Righteous Valkyrie. The deck has respectable creature removal and several sweepers, but limited instant-speed interaction and no countermagic. Its ordinary operating point is around turn 5, its first decisive attack is around turn 7, and an uninterrupted combat finish is around turn 9. It is resilient to a single wipe through commander access and recursive cards, but it is not a compact combo deck or a cEDH control shell.
