Format: Commander

Commander: Queen Marchesa

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Queen Marchesa deck executes a defensive political and pillowfort strategy designed to manipulate combat and drain the table. Casting Marchesa introduces the monarch mechanic, generating steady card draw or producing deathtouch Assassin tokens when opponents steal the crown. The deck establishes formidable defensive barriers using tax and combat deterrents such as Ghostly Prison, Windborn Muse, and No Mercy. Opponents are compelled to fight one another through goad effects like Disrupt Decorum, Taunt from the Rampart, and Kardur, Doomscourge. Games conclude by punishing enemy aggression using reactive swings like Inkshield, Delirium, and Deflecting Palm, or by finishing the remaining opposition with Insurrection or Ruinous Ultimatum.
