Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos tribal aggro and combat-attrition strategy helmed by Madame Hydra. The primary game plan revolves around casting Villain creature spells while Madame Hydra is on the battlefield to generate a wide army of 2/1 black Villain creature tokens with menace. As the token swarm expands, the deck leverages menace synergies like Labyrinth Raptor and Sonorous Howlbonder alongside anthem effects such as Titania, Proud Pummeler and Banner of Kinship to push evasive combat damage. Complementing the aggressive swarm is a suite of goad and group-slug cards, including Kardur, Doomscourge, Maximum Carnage, Doom Reigns Supreme, and Crossbones, Malicious Mercenary. These effects force opponents to attack each other, whittling down life totals and clearing blockers while Madame Hydra builds an overwhelming battlefield. The deck wins by overrunning opposing life totals across sequential combat steps, backed by direct burn triggers and combat spells like Great Train Heist.
