Deck overview

This Edgar Markov deck is an aggressive, high-synergy Mardu Aristocrats and tribal combo strategy. Edgar's Eminence ability provides constant token generation from turn 1 without ever needing to cast the commander. The deck leverages this free creature flow to fuel efficient card draw engines like Skullclamp and Village Rites, while triggering aristocrat drainers such as Blood Artist, Cruel Celebrant, and Sanctum Seeker. Fast mana accelerants and premier black tutors allow the deck to pivot rapidly between an aggressive go-wide combat assault and an instant-kill two-card infinite combo using Exquisite Blood with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose or Bloodthirsty Conqueror. Strong defensive tools like Grand Abolisher, Silence, and Deflecting Swat protect the deck during its critical execution turns.
