Deck overview

This deck is a hybrid Dimir build that merges an efficient Thassa's Oracle combo core with an interactive Faerie tribal flash shell led by Obyra, Dreaming Duelist. Its primary objective is to tutor for and resolve Thassa's Oracle alongside Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact, protected by format-defining free counterspells like Force of Will, Fierce Guardianship, and Pact of Negation. Fast mana artifacts and black rituals enable a consistent Turn 4 win window. When forced into a longer contest, the deck plays at instant speed, leveraging disruptive creatures such as Opposition Agent, Orcish Bowmasters, and Spellstutter Sprite, while generating card advantage through Talion, the Kindly Lord and Rhystic Study. The commander serves as early chip damage and an enabler for free spells rather than an engine piece.
