Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov aggro-drain and combat control strategy commanded by MacCready, Lamplight Mayor. The deck capitalizes on creatures with power 2 or less, leveraging MacCready's skulk granting to slip under opposing blockers while deterring large counterattacks. The primary win condition blends incremental aristocrat drain with catastrophic life-halving threats like Virtus the Veiled, Unstoppable Slasher, and Quietus Spike, which become instantaneous one-hit kills when paired with Bloodletter of Aclazotz. The deck eschews traditional artifact ramp in favor of a dense 40-land mana base and an exceptionally low mana curve. It maintains resilience through potent mass recursion spells like Raise the Past and Sevinne's Reclamation, paired with flexible asymmetric board clears like The Battle of Bywater and Dusk // Dawn that wipe large threats while leaving the low-power army intact.
