Deck overview

This Boros deck is commanded by Cadric, Soul Kindler, focusing on duplicating powerful legendary permanents as temporary, hasty tokens while ignoring the legend rule. The strategy develops early utility pieces before deploying Cadric on Turn 4, followed by impactful legendary creatures, planeswalkers, and enchantments that Cadric copies for just {1} mana. The deck scales rapidly using token multipliers like Anointed Procession, Mondrak, Glory Dominus, and Ojer Taq, Deepest Foundation, turning single triggers into massive armies. Win conditions center on explosive combat damage amplified by Gisela, Blade of Goldnight or Akroma's Will, direct life-drain from Impact Tremors and Agate Instigator, and a compact infinite combat loop using Helm of the Host and Aurelia, the Warleader. While the deck has limited early ramp and lacks creature tutors, it boasts exceptional plan shielding through Teferi's Protection, Deflecting Swat, Flawless Maneuver, and Myrel, Shield of Argive, making its mid-game board state resilient and lethal.
