That's why she's the Goad... THE GOAD by user1600641

Format: Commander

Commander: The Rani

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

The Rani is a goad-and-Clue commander who turns the table's creatures into your attackers while generating card advantage from the damage they deal. The deck leans heavily on the Rani's attack trigger to create Mark of the Rani tokens, then converts Clues into cards with Erdwal Illuminator, Forensic Gadgeteer, and The Mechanist. The primary plan is political: goad opponents' boards, stay under Propaganda and evasion, and use Mirkwood Bats and Azula to drain/accelerate. Secondary paths include commander damage through The Rani with unblockable effects or repeated goad engines like Disrupt Decorum. The hidden commander is Kharn the Betrayer, which is also a resilient goad/blocker that draws cards when it changes controllers. The deck is not combo-focused; it wins by attrition and combat, with The Rani's investigates fueling incremental advantage.
