Deck overview

This Ghoulcaller Gisa deck operates as a potent Aristocrats and Zombie Tribal combo engine. It leverages low-cost Zombies, sacrifice outlets, and death-trigger payoffs to drain opponents while generating substantial card advantage and mana. The deck accelerates through utility rocks and cost reducers like Jet Medallion and Bontu's Monument before establishing recurring draw engines such as Undead Augur, Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, and Braids, Arisen Nightmare. Its primary route to victory executes on Turn 5 through an infinite drain loop combining Warren Soultrader, Gravecrawler, and a drain permanent like Blood Artist, Bastion of Remembrance, or Ayara, First of Locthwain. Alternatively, the deck can overwhelm the table using Ghoulcaller Gisa token swarms, Bolas's Citadel velocity, or a massive Living Death reanimation wave featuring Gray Merchant of Asphodel. While the list excels at creature-based attrition and graveyard recursion, its mono-black shell lacks stack interaction and instant-speed plan protection, leaving combo windows vulnerable to timely opposing removal.
