Commander: The Ur-Sphinx

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The Ur-Sphinx commands an Esper Sphinx typal deck that leverages passive mana reduction from the command zone into an overwhelming aerial engine. Early turns establish cost reducers and mana rocks to deploy mid-cost sphinxes like Raffine, Scheming Seer and Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign ahead of curve. These creatures draw enormous numbers of cards while converting into defensive flying blockers. Once you cast The Ur-Sphinx or amass an army of flying threats, attacks mill tables and cast stolen spells for free. The deck closes games via massive flying combat damage, Sheoldred, the Apocalypse bleed, Atemsis, All-Seeing player eliminations, or drawing the entire library into Laboratory Maniac and Jace, Wielder of Mysteries.
