Format: Commander

Commander: Y'shtola, Night's Blessed

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Y'shtola, Night's Blessed is an Esper value-control deck that wins by repeatedly casting 3+ mana noncreature spells. The commander turns each such spell into a two-damage drain and an end-of-turn draw once life loss accumulates; Talion, Kambal, Fandaniel, and Jin-Gitaxias widen that same axis. Pillow-fort enchantments and flexible removal buy time while Metallurgic Summonings, Shark Typhoon, Hermes, and The Vision convert spells into board presence. The deck has no true infinite combo; its kill is a slow grind that culminates in Fandaniel's graveyard drain and/or a large Exsanguinate. Jin-Gitaxias // The Great Synthesis works as a secondary engine, using card draw and free casting to compress several triggers into one late turn.
