Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet spellslinger strategy led by Alania, Divergent Storm. It blends Otter tribal synergies with prowess combat buffs and magecraft burn triggers. The primary game plan focuses on deploying cost reducers such as Stormcatch Mentor and Goblin Electromancer early, followed by the commander on Turn 4 or 5. Once Alania is operational, the deck copies its first instant, sorcery, and Otter spell each turn, doubling the value of cheap cantrips and interaction. Win conditions center on scaling wide combat damage through Bria, Riptide Rogue, Balmor, Battlemage Captain, and Stormsplitter, while simultaneously burning the table with Fiery Inscription and Coruscation Mage. The deck features high card draw velocity and strong spell duplication, but relies on natural draw depth due to a lack of tutors and cannot directly remove resolved enchantments.
