Deck overview

This deck is a classic Dimir Zombie tribal midrange strategy commanded by Gisa and Geralf. The game plan revolves around deploying efficient Zombie creatures, augmenting them with tribal anthems, and utilizing the commander's ability to cast Zombie cards directly from the graveyard. Self-mill effects like Mire Triton and Gisa and Geralf turn the graveyard into an accessible second hand, providing steady card advantage. Mid-game turns focus on expanding the board with token generators such as Liliana's Mastery and Curse of Disturbance, while lords like Diregraf Captain, Lord of the Accursed, and Eternal Skylord grant evasion and offensive power. In the late game, high-impact spells like Army of the Damned, Gray Merchant of Asphodel, and Zombie Apocalypse close out games by draining life totals or overrunning opposing defenses. While resilient against single-target removal, the deck's reliance on combat and the graveyard makes it susceptible to sweepers and exile hate.
