Deck overview

This is a Dimir Spellslinger deck helmed by Lord of the Nazgul, built to generate an army of 3/3 black Wraith tokens with menace by casting instants and sorceries. Once nine or more Wraiths are on the battlefield, they become 9/9 base power and toughness, presenting a massive combat threat. The deck leverages redundancy in the form of six copies of Nazgul and several copy effects such as Twincast and Swarm Intelligence to magnify spell triggers. A robust suite of cost reducers and card draw engines (Archmage Emeritus, Case of the Ransacked Lab) fuels the spell chain. The primary win condition is overrun combat, backed by two realizable combos that grant alternative paths to victory. The commander is the primary token engine, but the deck retains functionality without it through its Wraith creatures and recursive spells.
