Deck overview

This Golgari Midrange deck is commanded by Pizza Face, Gastromancer and revolves around generating Food tokens, sacrificing permanents for incremental value, and distributing +1/+1 counters. Early turns focus on mana ramp and Food production using cards like Gilded Goose, Curious Pair, and Heaped Harvest. By Turn 5, Pizza Face enters to convert departed permanents into three +1/+1 counters each end step, turning mundane Food tokens into aggressive Mutant attackers. The mid-to-late game escalates rapidly with scaling threats like Ygra, Eater of All, Kalonian Hydra, and Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest, alongside an overrun finish from Night of the Sweets' Revenge. Strong graveyard recursion via Feasting Troll King and Scavenger's Talent provides resilience, while Dina, Soul Steeper paired with Exquisite Blood supplies a potent two-card infinite life-drain combo.
