Deck overview

This mono-black deck is an Aristocrats engine built around Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker. Shirei turns fragile 1-power creatures into recurring value engines by returning them to the battlefield at the beginning of each end step whenever they die. The deck leverages sacrifice outlets like Viscera Seer and Bloodthrone Vampire to sacrifice utility creatures on every single player's turn. Cards like Serrated Scorpion, Blood Artist, and Zulaport Cutthroat rapidly drain all opponents, while Grave Pact and Dictate of Erebos keep opposing battlefields clear of creatures. The deck also includes a hard mana lock via Contamination and an infinite mana combo with Magus of the Coffers and Umbral Mantle. Its main vulnerability is reliance on Shirei staying in play, making protection and timing essential to victory.
