Deck overview

This Simic deck commands the partner pairing of Pir, Imaginative Rascal and Toothy, Imaginary Friend to create a relentless engine of +1/+1 counters and card velocity. Pir modifies all counter placement by adding an extra counter, which directly doubles the rate at which Toothy grows from each card drawn. As Toothy balloons into a lethal threat, the deck leverages card draw spells, proliferation, and counter doublers like Branching Evolution and Deepglow Skate to overwhelm the board. When opponents attempt removal, Toothy's leaves-the-battlefield ability refills the hand, while low-cost protection spells like Tamiyo's Safekeeping and Slip Out the Back keep key pieces alive. Victory is achieved through unblockable combat damage enabled by Herald of Secret Streams and Hadana's Climb, or alternate win conditions such as Simic Ascendancy and Twenty-Toed Toad. The deck operates smoothly with high redundancy and built-in card advantage, though it lacks proactive stax pieces to slow down faster combo strategies.
