Deck overview

This Nekusar, the Mindrazer deck operates as a high-synergy wheel burn and hand-punishment strategy. The plan accelerates through efficient two-mana artifacts on early turns to establish Nekusar or redundant draw-punishers like Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Fate Unraveler, and Underworld Dreams by Turn 4. On Turn 5, the deck casts high-impact wheel sorceries such as Windfall, Wheel of Misfortune, and Dark Deal. These spells simultaneously burn the entire table for massive chunks of life and refill the pilot's hand. Resource generators like Waste Not and Bone Miser convert opposing discards into surplus mana and cards, often allowing the pilot to chain multiple wheels in a single turn. The deck features a compact backup win condition in Bloodchief Ascension paired with Mindcrank, as well as brutal asymmetric locks using Notion Thief and Teferi's Puzzle Box. Robust free counterspells defend the game-winning turn cycles.
