Deck overview

This Queen Marchesa deck executes a classic Mardu Aikido game plan, blending political incentives, pillowfort defenses, and forced-combat mechanics. Rather than racing to build an aggressive board, the deck deploys low-cost ramp to cast Queen Marchesa on turn 4, introducing the Monarch mechanic to fuel continuous card advantage. Defensive taxes and goad effects like Windborn Muse, Nelly Borca, Impulsive Accuser, and Agitator Ant force opponents to attack one another while preserving your life total. The tactical core relies on Sunforger and instant-speed damage reflection spells such as Deflecting Palm, Comeuppance, and Inkshield to turn opposing lethal swings into devastating blowouts. Once the table is weakened by forced combat, resolving Taunt from the Rampart or launching an alpha strike with flying Inkling tokens eliminates the remaining opposition on turn 8.
