Deck overview

This deck executes an Izzet spellslinger strategy centered on The Emperor of Palamecia. The commander accelerates noncreature spells while accumulating +1/+1 counters whenever you spend 4 or more mana on them. Upon gaining three counters, it transforms into The Lord Master of Hell, an offensive threat whose Starfall ability burns all opponents whenever it attacks, scaling with the number of noncreature, nonland cards in your graveyard. Fast self-mill spells like Traumatize and Tunnel Vision instantly stock the graveyard with 20 or more spells, allowing a single attack to deal massive global damage and a second swing to eliminate the entire table. Robust card advantage from flashback spells and cast triggers keeps your hand full, while backup threats like Crackling Drake, Manaform Hellkite, and Surge to Victory provide lethal redundancy if the commander is targeted.
