Deck overview

This deck is an explosive Gruul Voltron strategy led by Amarant Coral, designed to convert single-target combat damage into simultaneous table-wide elimination. Amarant Coral features built-in trample and the powerful No Mercy ability, which deals non-combat damage to every other opponent equal to the combat damage dealt to defending players. The deck leverages dense 1-to-2 CMC ramp to deploy Amarant Coral on Turn 3, followed by rapid deployment of power doublers, double strike equipment, and infect cards on Turn 4. Because No Mercy duplicates all combat damage, dealing 10 poison counters or 20+ power to one player immediately threatens or finishes all three opponents at once. A robust suite of low-cost protection spells, including Heroic Intervention, Tyvar's Stand, and Bolt Bend, defends the commander against targeted disruption during critical attack phases. The deck provides consistent Turn 4 must-answer pressure and reliably closes games by Turn 5.
