Deck overview

This deck executes a focused Phyrexian Poison strategy built around Atraxa, Praetors' Voice. It applies early poison counters on turns 1 through 3 using efficient toxic and infect creatures such as Glistener Elf, Crawling Chorus, and Bloated Contaminator, or spells like Vraska's Fall. Once an initial poison counter is placed on each opponent, the deck casts Atraxa on turn 4 to passively proliferate every turn. It backs this clock with corrupted card-advantage engines like Ixhel, Scion of Atraxa and Distorted Curiosity. The deck controls opposing plays using counterspells and flexible removal while accelerating poison counters through combat, Staff of Compleation, and Phyrexian Swarmlord. It closes the game by turn 8 through reaching 10 poison counters on all opponents or overwhelming the table with toxic and infect creature swarms.
