Deck overview

This five-color deck centers on Codie, Ravenous Codex and creatures featuring the Prepare mechanic, blending spellslinger velocity with creature-based synergy. Early turns focus on establishing mana fixing and ramp using 1-2 CMC dorks like Birds of Paradise and Bloom Tender alongside a Gate land base. Once Codie, Ravenous Codex or Magecraft engines enter the battlefield, casting prepared instant and sorcery copies generates immense card advantage and mana velocity through cards like Emeritus of Ideation // Ancestral Recall and Archmage Emeritus. The deck's primary victory condition is a compact infinite loop between Displacer Kitten and Blazing Firesinger // Seething Song: casting Seething Song blinks Firesinger to reset its prepared status, generating infinite red mana and infinite Magecraft triggers. This loop draws the entire deck and eliminates all opponents on Turn 5 with infinite Lightning Bolt copies or Witherbloom Apprentice life drain.
