Deck overview

Hashaton, Scarab's Fist commands an Esper Reanimator and midrange control strategy designed to cheat game-ending creatures into play ahead of curve. By leveraging cheap discard enablers like Putrid Imp, Psychic Frog, and looting effects, the deck triggers Hashaton's ability to create 4/4 Zombie copies of terrifying payloads—including Archon of Cruelty, Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, and Consecrated Sphinx—for just {2}{U}. Traditional reanimation spells such as Reanimate and Animate Dead provide redundant velocity that operates independently of the commander. Supported by premier free interaction like Force of Will and Fierce Guardianship, alongside proactive shields like Grand Abolisher, the deck secures its board against disruption. Opponents face severe attrition through repeated forced sacrifices, board-wide debuffs, and mass bounces, before succumbing to large flying attackers or an infinite death-trigger loop with Gravecrawler and Phyrexian Altar.
