Deck overview

This deck is an Esper topdeck manipulation and cost-cheat strategy commanded by Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign. The primary game plan ramps into Yennett on Turn 4, arranges the top card of the library using tools like Sensei's Divining Top, Brainstorm, or Aminatou, the Fateshifter, and attacks on Turn 5 to cast massive odd-cost spells for free. High-impact payoffs such as Void Winnower, Toxrill, the Corrosive, and Breach the Multiverse establish heavy asymmetric control, locking down opposing spells and sweeping opposing boards. Supported by efficient spot removal and quirky interactive cards like Marvo, Deep Operative and Shared Fate, the deck grinds down the table through evasive combat damage over several turn cycles. Its main vulnerabilities are reliance on the commander surviving without haste or innate ward, a lack of cheap stack countermagic, and a high mana curve that makes hardcasting payoffs slow if Yennett is answered.
