Deck overview

This Archangel Avacyn deck is a controlling Boros midrange deck engineered around damage-based board wipes, death triggers, and aerial beatdown. The primary strategy leverages Avacyn's flash and enter-the-battlefield indestructible trigger to break parity on mass damage spells like Blasphemous Act and Chain Reaction. By sacrificing cheap non-Angel creatures at will, the deck triggers Avacyn's transformation into Avacyn, the Purifier, repeatedly wiping opposing small creatures and burning all opponents. The list incorporates strong equipment utility via Sunforger to tutor instant-speed answers on demand, while heavy hitters like Sun Titan and Karmic Guide supply late-game staying power. Because it lacks instant-kill combo lines or fast-mana acceleration, the deck focuses on steadily exhausting opposing boards, transitioning into commander damage and aerial combat to close out the game over multiple turn cycles.
