Grenzo Budget by Inguru

Format: Commander

Commander: Grenzo, Dungeon Warden

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Grenzo, Dungeon Warden bottom-of-library value deck in Rakdos. The primary plan is to stack the bottom of the library with scry and tuck effects such as Crystal Ball, Darksteel Pendant, Epitaph Golem, and Tel-Jilad Stylus, then use Grenzo's activated ability to dump creatures directly onto the battlefield. Grenzo's X is a built-in setup tax: X=2 makes his power 4, which is the breakpoint for flipping Workhorse and most of the value suite. Wins come from ETB and death triggers like Terror of the Peaks, Impact Tremors, Judith, the Scourge Diva, and Stalking Vengeance, a go-wide plan with Krenko, Mob Boss, or an infinite Grenzo-activation loop using Workhorse, Heartstone, and a reusable recycler. Daretti, Scrap Savant, Chainer, Nightmare Adept, Etali, Primal Storm, and Valgavoth, Terror Eater provide powerful secondary engines if Grenzo is neutralized.
