Deck overview

This mono-black aristocrats combo deck is commanded by Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER. The strategy revolves around assembling infinite sacrifice and drain loops while controlling opposing creature boards through repeated edict effects. With Sephiroth functioning as a life-draining payoff in the command zone, the deck only needs to find a recurring creature such as Forsaken Miner or Gravecrawler and a sacrifice outlet like Phyrexian Altar or Warren Soultrader. Once assembled on turn 4, the sacrifice loop drains all opponents simultaneously at instant speed. The list also features strong alternate win conditions, including Basalt Monolith combined with Forsaken Monument for infinite mana, as well as classic aristocrat payoffs like Blood Artist and Zulaport Cutthroat. High-velocity card draw from Skullclamp, Necropotence, and Braids, Arisen Nightmare ensures resilience against disruption.
