Deck overview

This mono-black deck is centered around Gwenom, Remorseless, utilizing her attack trigger to circumvent mana costs by spending life to cast spells off the top of the library. Backed by life-buffering tools, heavy equipment, and monolithic black finishers, the deck transitions from an early acceleration curve into explosive mid-game turns. Life payments are offset by Gwenom's innate lifelink and life-draining payoffs such as Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Exsanguinate. While the deck features powerful beaters and strong creature removal, it remains vulnerable to early aggression, spot removal targeting Gwenom before combat, and enchantments or artifacts it cannot easily remove. Overall, the deck delivers an aggressive, highly synergistic game plan capable of snowballing games when Gwenom connects.
