Deck overview

This deck leverages Kudo, King Among Bears to set every creature on the battlefield to a base power and toughness of 2/2. By operating in Layer 7b, Kudo enables massive parity breaks with static Layer 7c effects, +1/+1 counters, and low-power triggers. Most notably, combining Kudo with Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite gives all opposing creatures -2/-2, wiping them instantly and locking opponents out of maintaining a creature presence. Meanwhile, every creature entering triggers Ayula, Queen Among Bears for fights or buffs, and turns on draw engines like Enduring Innocence and Welcoming Vampire. A dense package of hatebears including Collector Ouphe, Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, and Gaddock Teeg slows opponents down while big-mana lands like Gaea's Cradle accelerate board development. The deck defends its board with premier protection spells like Teferi's Protection and Heroic Intervention, finishing through overwhelming buffed combat damage or an infinite Heliod, Sun-Crowned and Walking Ballista combo.
