New Untitled Deck by Retro

Format: Commander

Commander: Zhao, the Moon Slayer

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Zhao, the Moon Slayer leads a mono-red resource denial and punisher strategy designed to paralyze opponent mana bases while chipping life totals. Zhao slows opposing ramp by forcing nonbasic lands to enter tapped and threatens to turn them into Mountains. The deck layers punishing stax pieces like Blood Moon, Harsh Mentor, and Roiling Vortex to constrict enemy development. Once the board is contained, the deck closes games either through an infinite hasty copy loop with Dualcaster Mage and Twinflame or by deploying massive evasive threats like Drakuseth, Maw of Flames and Urabrask the Hidden amplified by damage multipliers like Fiery Emancipation.
