venom by cp12

Format: Commander

Commander: Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Skithiryx is a mono-black infect/toxic deck that wins by putting poison counters on every opponent. The primary plan is to land an early global poison effect (Ichor Rats, Infectious Inquiry, Phyresis Outbreak) and then convert that into a lethal count with Skithiryx's 4-point infect hits plus repeatable proliferate engines such as Staff of Compleation, Contagion Clasp, and Karn's Bastion. Secondary beats come from cheap infect/toxic flyers (Plague Stinger, Pestilent Syphoner) and voltron equipment that makes Skithiryx unblockable and double-striking. Removal, discard, and graveyard hate (Dauthi Voidwalker, Bojuka Bog, Phyrexian Scriptures) keep the table honest while the poison clock finishes. No infinite combo exists; the deck is a resilient combat/planeswalker attrition deck.
