Gandalf's Unexpected Party by user3105123

Format: Commander

Commander: Gandalf, Party Guest

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Gandalf, Party Guest leads a Jeskai Dwarf Equipment Voltron deck that cheats instants and sorceries. At combat you cast a spell for free with value up to twice your legendary Wizards, so the deck runs eight Gandalfs to scale X from 2 to 6+. The primary plan equips a Dwarf or Gandalf with Blackblade Reforged, Glamdring, and protection boots, then swings for lethal commander or Voltron damage, using extra combats from Full Throttle and Desert Were-Worm to clear multiple opponents. Secondary paths go wide with An Unexpected Party, Fili the Pathfinder, and Dwarven Shortsword tokens, amplified by Horn of the Mark and Crown of Gondor. Gandalf the White acts as a hidden commander, giving flash and doubling Equipment triggers.
