Deck overview

This mono-black aristocrats deck is piloted by Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER, utilizing a dense suite of sacrifice outlets, recursive creatures, and drain effects to grind down opposing life totals. The primary game plan establishes early token producers like Bitterblossom and Ophiomancer before casting Sephiroth on Turn 3. By sacrificing disposable bodies, Sephiroth draws cards to dig into vital aristocrat pieces. On Turn 6, the deck aims to generate four creature deaths in a single turn to transform Sephiroth into Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel, generating an un-interactable emblem that drains opponents whenever any creature dies. Redundant pieces like Blood Artist, Bastion of Remembrance, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel accelerate this clock, closing games by Turn 8. While resilient against targeted destruction thanks to reanimation tools, the deck lacks dedicated instant-speed protection and struggles against resolved artifacts, enchantments, and graveyard hate.
